Elder Ward’s mission. Week 3.
11/11/22 We took a road trip to Yakima to help the Salvation Army with moving storage racks
from the old hospital to their store. In the top picture: Elder Giles (my trainer), Elder Despain,
me, Elder Wagner, Elder Speed, and Elder Morrill. We met up with some of the missionaries
serving in the Yakima Mission (2nd photo) for the service project.
11/12/22 I made everyone pancakes for breakfast. If you look at the bottom of the photo,
you can see my dark purple toe. I dropped a log on it when we were cleaning up limbs in
the woods.
11/15/22 Burning all the branches we cleaned up.
11/26/22 We worked with Elder Morrill on an RV hookup post that needed to be repaired.
We weren’t able to turn off the power to the hookup post, so we had to figure out another
way to secure the post. I had the idea to cut the end of the screws with a sawzall, on the
side that didn’t have power, and then we could add support to that side instead. This would
save us a lot of time and be safe too. Elder Morrill said he hadn’t thought of that and really
liked my idea. He told me later that he really values my opinion and likes my ideas. That
made me feel really good.
