Dec. 2- 15

 

Friday Dec. 2 

I made peanut butter pancakes for all of us for breakfast.                

I wish I took a photo of the sunrise. It was really pretty.

Today was a lot of hard work shoveling and putting snowmelt out. I actually fell asleep at lunch and Elder Giles woke me up. He's been a big help for me as he explains things very well. He also has a really good memory and listens very well so if I don't hear something, he's got it.

Also me and Elder Kennedy were talking about making an igloo/ snow fort with 5 gallon bucket snow bricks. So I'll send photos when we make it.

Elder Morrill complimented me and Elder Speed for doing a really good job on the basement sweeping.

It's been good. The work is hard and the ranch is beautiful.

Saturday Dec. 4

We threw away some old chains we didn't need and got a new toilet seat with Elder Morrill (ours was broken.) We also got donuts for everyone. Maple bars.

Our senior sisters are painting our apartment. It's going to look nice.

Tuesday Dec. 6

Good day! We shoveled and put ice melt down and then we used a snow rake to pull the snow off the roofs. Also it's Elder Giles birthday today. He's 21. His family came over and celebrated with him and brought pizza for all of us. Me and Elder Kennedy had to stall and distract him because it was a surprise party.

Me and Elder Kennedy also fixed 2 foosball tables. 

We worked on the snow fort too. It was fun, and tiring.

Wed. Dec. 7

Today me and Elder Giles worked on clearing the parking lot of ice. We would break the ice with a steel rod that kinda looks like a big flathead screwdriver. It's heavy, but it breaks the thick ice. 

Then we would shovel it all out so Elder Morrill could come by with the tractor and scoop it out of the way. We finished the whole thing and then helped Elder Elegante move his fridge back in. Then we set up a mouse trap bucket and after work we went sledding.  Elder Morrill seemed happy with our work. Also Elder Elegante gave us some candy for helping with the fridge.

Fri. Dec. 9

Today was good! We got pizza! Sister Morrill challenged us to make our beds every morning and pizza was the reward.

Sat. Dec. 10

I got an order I placed from Amazon, but then I also randomly got this-

I didn't order them. But Elder Wagner thought it looked cool so I gave him one and we wear them now. I looked it up and apparently it's like a Chinese good luck charm.

Mon. Dec. 12

I gave the devotional this morning. Elder Morrill said he thought it was a great devotional and he liked my testimony.

Tues. Dec. 13

I got a little sick yesterday afternoon, but feeling much better today. I was able to work. This is me breaking the ice up today. It was much thicker when we last did it.

Had a bit of a rough night. But Elder and Sister Morrill helped me through it.

Dec. 15

We delivered piles of wood to two needy families in the branch.
